Thrasher Magazine – Leo Baker’s “Stay on Board” Premiere Photos

STAY ON BOARD, directed by Nicola Marsh and Giovanni Reda, combines archival footage from Leo’s complete life together with lovely clips from six years of making the movie. Masterfully pieced collectively by editor Sasha Perry, it tells the complete story of a skater who went from a baby prodigy incomes cash for his household’s survival, to a global star stripped of his autonomy. Over the course of the movie, we watch his troublesome, at-times-seemingly-impossible battle to get it again. That includes interviews with Leo’s mother, Tony Hawk, Alexis Sablone, and a ton of professional skaters, photographers and buddies, the doc provides a full image of his expertise ––with perception and experiences relationship again to childhood. The Director’s Guild of America in West Hollywood was full of a various crowd buzzing with power. A mixture of skateboarding legends, present stars, household and buddies all gathered to observe the movie and present their love and help for Leo Baker. Scroll via to see who made it out. —A Klass
