Some Footage …For Posterity’s Sake

It’s straightforward to overlook that we’ve been dwelling in “this” for two years already, on condition that 2020 and 2021 really feel like one big blob of time. And for all of the issues which have irreversibly modified in the course of the pandemic, skateboarding — notably with mates exterior, not in a skatepark — has remained a constant consolation for all of us.

I discovered this folder of unused footage that Dre filmed nearly two years in the past (numerous the A-roll stuff wound up in Josh’s “Quaranteam” part), and simply bought sappy and appreciative skimming by means of it, so felt compelled to place it on a timeline to have as a memento ☺️

Some spots are not the free-for-alls they have been within the aftermath of lockdown (nonetheless no telling if the pedestal / little ledge at Museum is staying there now that they removed the statue), much more skaters moved into town over the course of the pandemic (lured by the briefly cheaper rents obvs …who is aware of what that’ll spell now that each one that shit is skyrocketing once more), however total, it was reassuring to observe these items again and never have it really feel overseas ❤️
