After propelling the U.S. to a sweep of the 100 meters on Saturday, A&M product Fred Kerley received his warmth on the Worlds Athletic Championships on Monday, qualifying him for Thursday’s finals.
He joined fellow Individuals Kenneth Bednarek, Noah Lyles and Erriyon Knighton within the finals, all of whom received or positioned second of their respective heats.
Kerley enters the finals with the possibility to guide the U.S. to a different sweep of an occasion, although his competitors might be stiff with the highest ranked Bednarek and former Olympic bronze medalist Lyles making a run on the prime spot.
Lyles celebrated his twenty fifth birthday by operating a 19.98-second blazer, the one sub-20 time on the occasion.
