SKATE DREAMS is the primary characteristic documentary in regards to the rise of ladies’s skateboarding. Tracing the ascent of ladies’s skateboarding up from the streets to its 2021 debut in Tokyo as an Olympic sport, this documentary focuses on U.S. coach Mimi Knoop and her staff in addition to skaters from Cambodia and Ghana. It profiles a various group of ladies whose pursuit of self-expression and freedom has helped create a global motion. The story spans the trailblazing pioneers of the Eighties and the following era of Olympic contenders as they defy business gatekeepers and battle for skilled equality. SKATE DREAMS showcases the charismatic personalities and indomitable spirits of those superb abilities on and off their skateboards.
