(April 15, 2021) The varsity soccer crew headed into its Saturday residence match-up towards Sandwich on the heels of a 44-0 street win over Monomoy. The Whalers appeared to go away their offense on the mainland, shedding to the Blue Knights 30-9.
After outscoring their final two opponents 82-12, the 2-3 Whalers had been unable to ascertain any kind of rhythm on offense or protection to increase their two-game win streak.
“We had three interceptions. We had fumbles, after which we had a snap go over the top of our punter. Too many errors on our finish,” head coach Joe Perry mentioned.
“I believed we moved the ball properly within the first half however ran out of gasoline. That was a powerful Sandwich crew.”
