(Dec. 6, 2021) Nantucket Excessive College senior Justin Bloise has verbally dedicated to play for Sacred Coronary heart College’s Div. 1 soccer group subsequent fall.
Bloise was a captain and jack of all trades for the 7-3 Whalers, enjoying working again, defensive again, punter and field-goal kicker.
He scored 14 touchdowns on offense and racked up greater than 700 yards speeding. He was named the Cape & Islands League Lighthouse Division MVP.
Bloise stated he’ll play slot receiver at Sacred Coronary heart.
“I selected Sacred Coronary heart due to the tradition, teachers and brotherhood,” he stated. “(Large receivers) coach Mark Clements made me really feel welcome once I went to go to. Sacred Coronary heart is in Fairfield, Conn. The Pioneers play within the NCAA Div. 1 Soccer Championship Subdivision (FCS) and are a member of the Northeast Convention.
Bloise and his teammate Makai Bodden had been invited to play within the Dream All-American Bowl Jan. 17 at AT&T Stadium in Texas, house of the Dallas Cowboys. The 2 Whalers had been chosen to play from a pool of over 3,500 athletes from throughout the nation.
Bloise is the third Nantucket Excessive College senior to commit to varsity athletics. Emma Davis will swim at Sacred Coronary heart, and Riley Williams will play baseball for Mercy Faculty in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.
