(April 7, 2022) The boys lacrosse staff is coming into the 2022 season with plenty of unknowns. The Whalers, like just about each different staff within the state, have solely performed half a season of aggressive lacrosse within the final two years as a result of COVID-19 pandemic. The one gamers who’ve performed a full season are the seniors who did so throughout their freshman 12 months.
The Whalers have near 50 gamers between the varsity and JV groups, and plenty of athletic expertise. The vast majority of the varsity staff will probably be upperclassmen, and lacrosse-specific expertise are in excessive demand.
“It’s plenty of getting again to fundamentals, throwing and catching,” head coach Sam Aloisi mentioned. “However now we have plenty of upperclassmen, and most of them can throw and catch and it is going to be enjoyable to see the place they’ll go.”
