CLEVELAND — A police pursuit in a Cleveland suburb ended with a lady being shot and the armed driver fleeing on foot in Cleveland, authorities mentioned.
The pursuit started shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday in Garfield Heights. Authorities had been investigating reviews of individuals in two automobiles exchanging gunfire when an officer noticed an SUV that apparently had fled the scene.
The male driver initially refused to cease and went into Cleveland, authorities mentioned. He ultimately pulled over and jumped out of the SUV, brandishing a gun as he ran away, and a Garfield Heights officer then fired a shot that struck a 20-year-old feminine passenger within the SUV.
The lady was being handled at a hospital for accidents that aren’t thought of life-threatening. The officer was not injured, and authorities haven’t mentioned if anybody was injured within the capturing that spurred the pursuit.
