A tractor-trailer apparently collided head-on with a van Monday on Route 44 in Newbury Township, killing 5 of the seven individuals within the van, authorities stated.
Each automobiles had front-end harm, the Ohio Freeway Patrol reported.
The van driver and 4 passengers had been pronounced lifeless on the scene. Two different van passengers had been taken to hospitals with severe accidents, authorities stated.
The tractor-trailer’s driver was taken to a hospital and handled for accidents that weren’t life-threatening, the freeway patrol stated.
The motive force had no passengers.
The patrol says that it’s nonetheless processing the scene and that the collision stays beneath investigation.
