24 years since the club’s fifth Spanish Super Cup victory

On 23 August 1997 Actual Madrid clinched their fifth Spanish Tremendous Cup trophy after beating Barcelona 5-3 on mixture within the two-legged remaining. The Whites slipped to a slender defeat (2-1) within the first leg on the Camp Nou, however three days later they turned the tie round with a convincing 4-1 win on the Santiago Bernabéu.
 
Raúl, who scored the aspect’s solely purpose on the Camp Nou, impressed Madrid to victory within the second leg with a brace, together with targets from Mijatovic and Seedorf to safe the trophy.
