Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas has accepted a wild card into the Hamburg European Open, the event introduced Saturday. The ATP 500 clay-court occasion shall be performed from 12-18 July.
The World No. 4 reached the ultimate at Roland Garros (l. to Djokovic) in June, however suffered a shock first-round exit at Wimbledon as he fell to American Frances Tiafoe in straight units.

It will likely be the second time the 22-year-old has performed on the clay-court occasion in Germany. Tsitsipas loved a run to the ultimate final September on the ATP 500 occasion earlier than succumbing to Russian Andrey Rublev.
