Within the second 12 months of the Sustainable Meals and Agriculture initiative, Boulder County awarded a complete of $305,000 to native farms and organizations.
The 2021 fund included 11 recipients: Boulder Mushroom, Boulder Valley Faculty District, Neighborhood Desk Farm, Dharma’s Backyard, Earth Desk, Flatirons Younger Farmers Coalition, Backyard to Desk, Rising Gardens, Isabelle Farm, Kilt Farm and Purple Wagon Natural Farms.
Every recipient was given between slightly below $2,000 and as much as $75,000 for creating academic packages and supporting native and regenerative agriculture. The funds had been generated by the Sustainability Tax plan, which was handed in 2016.
