Vault by Vans & Jimmy Gorecki Share “A ‘LOVE’ Story” in New JSP Collaboration

Vans is worked up to accomplice with skater and entrepreneur Jimmy Gorecki of JSP (Jimmy Sweatpants) for the first-time to ship a duo of sneakers celebrating Philadelphia skateboarding and town’s world-renowned Love Park. Paying tribute to the gritty younger power of the legendary metropolis blocks, Gorecki tapped native artist and skater Joe Lees to imprint his Philly hand type throughout two make-ups of the Chukka 79 VLT LX from the California footwear label’s Vault by Vans division.

After making a reputation for himself within the early 2000s skating for the likes of Aesthetics, Zoo York and Ice Cream, Philadelphia native Jimmy Gorecki launched his namesake model Jimmy Sweatpants (JSP) in 2013. Recognized for California-made fundamentals — specifically sweatpants — Gorecki has constructed a devoted following for his high-quality woven textiles and is worn usually by the likes of Lebron James and Lena Waithe. JSP has collaborated with a lot of manufacturers together with Gino Iannucci’s Poets, Pleasures, Albino and Preto, Paper Planes, PS STIX, Paterson, BBC Icecream, and now Vans.

For the Vault by Vans x JSP challenge, Gorecki stays true to each his concentrate on high quality textiles and his love for Philadelphia skateboarding, with a premium tackle his favourite Vans silhouette, the Chukka Boot. Butter mushy suede uppers in Marshmallow and Black play towards a Crystal Blue translucent bumper and waffle sole, whereas a Racing Crimson checkerboard midsole units issues off with “JSP,” “215” and “LOVE” hits in a customized Philly hand type by Joe Lees. The tags are repeated on an identical Vans Ultracush® insole, driving house Gorecki’s love for the all of the skaters who made town blocks at fifteenth and JFK a spot of legend.

Finishing the JSP design is a field devoted to Gorecki’s shut childhood pal, Philadelphia icon and former Vans skate workforce member, JR Neves, who handed away in 2009.
