The Normandale Neighborhood School Sustainability Committee will host a speaker collection subsequent week with shows about lake-friendly garden care and landscaping for pollinators, birds and buildings.

The presentation, Birds & Buildings: Hen Window Collisions within the City Panorama, is midday to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 2. Utilizing varied citizen-science monitoring applications, Sami Nichols, adjunct professor at College of Wisconsin-River Falls and Anoka Ramsey Neighborhood School, studied the components that have an effect on bird-building collisions from each the constructing and the avian perspective.
Lake-Pleasant Garden Care is 11 a.m. to midday Thursday, March 4. Maggie Reiter, an extension educator for turfgrass on the College of Minnesota, will define new strategies to extend the ecological sustainability of lawns, similar to low-maintenance grasses, flowering bee lawns and water conservation methods.
