Steelers working again Jerome Bettis is making an attempt to assist out the household of his former teammate.
Tim Lester, who was Bettis’ teammate and lead blocker with the Steelers and Los Angeles Rams, died this week on the age of 52 as a result of problems from COVID-19.
After Lester’s loss of life, Bettis began the Tim Lester Household Memorial Fund, and a GoFundMe page that has accumulated over $35,000 worth of donations in just two days.
“We’re deeply saddened by this tragedy and need to assist Tim’s spouse Natalie and youngsters Tim Jr., Tristan and Tony in any manner we are able to,” Bettis wrote. “I , Jerome Bettis, with the assistance of my household, pals and former teammates of mine and Tim’s have arrange this memorial fund to assist the Lester household with funeral prices.
