Xavier McCall recorded his first double-double of the season within the Cheney Tech boys basketball group’s win over Goodwin Tech on March 3.
The junior notched his second-straight double-double on Tuesday, ending with 15 factors and 14 rebounds to guide the Beavers to a 54-44 CTC Central victory over Whitney Tech in Hamden.
Davonne Walker added 12 factors for the Beavers (8-3), who outscored Whitney Tech 27-12 within the second quarter to guide 40-20 on the half.
Qayvier Johnson had 11 factors to tempo Whitney Tech (1-6).
The Beavers host Kaynor Tech on Friday.
